IT Infrastructure Overhaul

Complete overhauls of neglected or non-existent infrastructures (servers, Wi-Fi, VDI, cabling) delivered in days with minimal downtime.

At PBSCo, one of my technical team's main objectives was the complete overhaul of the software and network infrastructures of many companies. New clients often had almost non-existent infrastructures or, worse, badly neglected ones that had deteriorated over decades. The challenge was as much organizational as technical: designing and deploying the right infrastructure, reinstalling entire server systems, Wi-Fi access points and VDI racks within a few days required tight coordination, careful planning with my team and constant dialogue with clients to minimize downtime. Clear documentation and labeling of every cable and connection was essential to keep future maintenance efficient and the systems scalable.

Thorough audits before and after each overhaul were essential. They revealed pre-existing issues in networks and systems (vulnerabilities, missing or inadequate backups, lack of resilience) and confirmed that the new infrastructures complied with European and French regulations such as NIS2, GDPR and the Loi Abeille. This rigorous evaluation allowed us to identify and fix weaknesses effectively, strengthening the security and compliance of every system we rebuilt.
